Antique Pair of french gilded mirrors
This is a pair of very rare Louis the XVI style, 19th century French beveled oval mirrors encased by carved wood topped with gesso and finished with excellent gold gilding. The frame is not simply square but accented by large corner elements adding drama. The top molding is delicately intertwined ribbons with a shell in the center. The unique part of these mirrors, besides being a pair, is the adornment of an large angel at the bottom that appears to be effortlessly holding the mirror along with the four candle holders that protrude an incredible 10 ½ inches making these pieces real eye catchers. If interested act quickly as it is unlikely you will ever find a pair similar to these of this quality.
